3 Tips for younger looking skin (without going under the knife)

The most common requests at the clinic, is ‘I want to look younger’ or ‘I want to look more rested and youthful’. This is definitely achievable, but there are 3 top tips I want to share to help slow down the aging process with you all… and the earlier you start these techniques, the better for your skin, to maintain a youthful appearance.

1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
Now, I am not saying that you need to spend thousands of pounds a year on a fancy 10 step skin care. For those of you who have busy lives, it is just not always achievable or sustainable in the long run. I know full well, being a mummy that life is way to hectic. So the minimum I always tell my clients, is to keep your skin hydrated. Drink LOTS of water. 2 litres per day please! The next step is to always remove your makeup before the end of the day with a good cleanser, and to moisturise your face. Your skin will say thank you, and your wrinkles will be less obvious.

2. Sun Protection
Can I stress enough that this is SOOOO important? UVA and UVB rays are so damaging to the skin, and without ALL year round protection we are aging our faces prematurely. Even on a cloudy day, the suns rays are beaming down, so please, make sun protection (SPF 50!) the next step after moisturising.

3. Anti-wrinkle Treatments
Botox is a great way to relax the facial muscles and to stop those wrinkles and frown lines. When you have regular treatment they can stop those pesky lines from a) either making an appearance, or b) getting worse! Being proactive about having Botox, means you can have wrinkle free skin for longer and delay that aging process.
